What is Fulvic Acid?
Fulvic acid is the end product of decomposition of organic matter. It is the absolute smallest particle of that compost. It has all the genetic information, all of the nutrition, all of the antioxidant capacity.

First is the production of energy inside of the cell. The mitochondria of your cells are the energy generators. Every cell in the body has mitochondria. Depending upon the type of cell, you have anywhere from one mitochondria per cell, up to 2,000 mitochondria per cell, depending upon the energy requirement of that cell. Brain cells and liver cells have the highest. Muscle cells and nerve cells also have a high number of mitochondria.
If you study nutrition, circulation, hormones and detoxification in the human body, you will find that everything is routed through the liver. Liver cells have a very high energy requirement. PH is really a measurement of voltage in liquids. If you look how pH works, we can build either an acid battery or an alkaline battery can’t we?
If you think about the difference between a copper wire and a glass of water, a copper wire brings voltage into a room and if the light switch is on, there are electrons coming into the room and the lights work. Turn off the switch and the electrons stop flowing and the light doesn’t work. But in a liquid you’ve got a different situation. A liquid can either be an electron donor or an electron stealer.
So you take a voltmeter and put it into a glass of water and if the liquid is an electron stealer you put a plus sign in front of the voltage. If it’s an electron donor you put a negative sign in front of the voltage.
Positive 400 millivolts, which is poison and will kill you quickly is the same thing as a pH of 0. Negative 400 millivolts, which is an electron donor, is the same thing as a pH of 14. So pH is measured on a scale of 0 to 14, which in reality is just a measurement of voltage. So if you look at 7.35 that’s the same thing as negative 20 millivolts and 7.45 is a negative 25 millivolts. So basically what all the cellular biology books tell you is that our cells should run between negative 20 and negative 25 millivolts.
Children tend to run a little bit higher. Some children and also some athletes who are in really good shape run as high as negative 35, but most of us run it at negative 25 if we are in good health.
The other interesting thing is, in order to make a new cell you need negative 50 millivolts. So, let’s say I am running at negative 25 millivolts and I’m out fixing my fence one day and I hit my thumb with a hammer. My thumb will immediately go to negative 50 millivolts because it takes negative 50 to make new cells to replace those that I smashed.
At negative 50 millivolts there are some interesting things that automatically happen. One of the things is that the arterial capillaries dilate in order to dump new raw materials at the site of injury that will be used to make new cells.
And when the blood vessels dilate to give me the new raw materials, then my thumb will swell and turn red and get warm from the inflammation and I will experience pulsating pain.
So the process of healing then has to do with inflammation. So my body uses the negative 50 millivolts and the new supply of raw materials and starts making new cells and when it finishes replacing all of injured cells, then my thumb goes back to a normal negative 25 millivolts.
How long does it take to make new cells? It varies from one type of cell to another. For example the rods and cones in your retina are replaced every 48 hours.
