Dear Supporter,
The number of arrests in Rupert Murdoch’s phone hacking scandal has now reached double digits as authorities on both sides of the Atlantic ramp up criminal investigations. The news has gone from bad to worse for News Corp. since CREW first demanded the American government get involved, but Mr. Murdoch and his minions want you to know who the real victims are: them. The media mogul gave an “exclusive” interview to his own Wall Street Journal where he said the scandal has been handled “extremely well in every possible way.” Meanwhile, those on his payroll argued investigating is an affront to the First Amendment and the real problem is how easy hacking has become. Mr. Murdoch would like this international scandal to face away, but we’re not going to let that happen. A donation to CREW sends a message to Mr. Murdoch and others who thumb their nose at the law: no matter how much power they amass, they will be held accountable. Today, Mr. Murdoch testified before the British Parliament. With your help, we can keep pushing Congress to demand an encore performance in the U.S. Thank you,
